Just wanted to share this video from Simply Be with you as I found my toes tapping along to it!

I am Boot Obsessed this year as usual and I am loving so many from this video!

As well as these ones I spotted earlier on the site

The will go perfectly with my growing tartan collection.

Thought I would add a little how I would wear my boots, its a little bit grown up rocker!

Have you fond you ideal winter boots?

Barratts Wellie Review

I was recently contacted by the Lovely Keiron who asked if I would be willing to review a pair of their wellies on the blog, and as my other pair are a little big and my mum has been coveting them I decided to give them a try.

Barretts actually have a pretty large selection of wellies but not many are wide fit, but the perfect pair for me were right there so all was good in the world of Mhairi.

I love a bit of colour in my life so when I saw these fabulous boots in this fabulous berry pink colour I knew they were for me!

I decided to give them a thorough test by taking them on a walk with our dog toby, who is completely bonkers and tries to steal the lead so he can walk himself, the weather was turning pretty bad so we grabbed some pictures outside before we set off.

The one and only photo toby behaved in  :)

It starts with the dancing on his hind legs, and the spining round, he is very careful not to bash you.

Then he grabs the lead and tries to get away!

He also gets it as close to your hand without touching you to try to take it off you.

So as you can see with this mad pup wellies are a must as I am normally being taken for the walk instead of the other way around.

The wellies themselves are a fantastic fit, in the pictures they are on over my jeans and a big pair of knee length socks and there is still some room for me, so might invest in some fleece lining socks for them for extra warmth in the winter.

They could do with slightly thicker tread on the bottom but other than that they are great and come with my  recommendation, and at £15.00 they are a great price.

Go take a look at the Barratts website and see everything they have to offer.

Jileon Wide leg Wellies - Review

Back  in april I received an email from the lovely James at Jileon, they were looking to bring out a new design in there range and wanted some input from some of us bloggers as to which designs we liked best to help them choose, I choose 2 pairs I liked one of which was chosen and is now available.

At the same time he asked if I would like to review a pair for them once they came into stock, so I said yes and a couple of weeks back they arrived.

Limited edition floral design

I loved how vibrant the colours are and it reminds me of the warmer spring and summer months, especially now its so dull and wet outside!

When they arrived i whipped them out and put them straight on, but sadly one of the buckles had broken, but James on hearing this offered to send me a replacement set so from a customer point of view, they definitely look after us!

When they arrived the buckles were super easy to fit and worked a treat, I was sent replacements for all four so they were all the same buckles.

As you can see in real life they are just as pretty and vibrant in real life as they are in the stock photo above.

I did find I have a little bit too much room in these and could probably try there normal wide fit range instead of the extra wide which goes up to a 50cm calf, so check your calf measurements before you order as if it is below 46cm go for the wide fit.

They have some fabulous prints available in the range and if your not into bright pinks the extra wide range has more traditional options like these blue ones.

As well as these fun ones in a spot print.

Overall these boots are fabulous they are well mage have a decent grip on the sole so good for muddy fields and pulling dogs or just enjoying a walk.

Jileon also have a good selection of children's and mens wellies I would love to see them offer a wider fit in the mens ranges too as I know my other half has a difficult time with mens ones.
They also have an excellent range of liners and boot bags on offer.

These are on my list to get as soon as possible!

and I have this rather fabulous boot bag in my possession now so thank you James!

I highly recommend a visit to the Jileon website for a look round for all your wellington needs, they can also be found on twitter as @Jileon_Wellies and on Facebook.

A very tired looking me after a stomp about down the park in my boots saying thank you to James and Jileon and see you all soon!

***News***

Simply Be Review 2

Zandra Rhodes Vintage Print Dress.

This is the second item sent to me by Simply Be for review, I chose this dress, as I fell instantly in love with the colour! Anything green or purple and I am hooked!

On the model the sleeves hit her half way between wrist and elbow, but on me the hit me on my wrist which I wasn't keen on, but as I always have a cardigan on even in summer, this isn't a problem for me, just be aware of it, if you are short like me.

Cardigan - Marks and Spencer (very old)
Tights - 100Denier Tesco
Boots - Wide Fit Next
I chose to wear it for a day out christmas shopping and having some lunch with my other half, so I wore my old Marks and Spencer wrap cardigan, my Evans belt, thick tights and my biker boots.

The dress comes with a separate green slip as the material is very sheer and it has adjustable straps, my husband laughed at how excited this made me, but I have very short shoulders and straps on dresses always need to be tied or shortened.

The pattern looks very red in the pictures but it is very dark almost purple/red, I originally wore it with dark plum coloured tights from Evans but as they fell apart in less than 2 hours I went back to my trusty  Tesco 100 Denier Tights!

I felt really pretty and relaxed all day in the dress I also tried it with my black polo neck jumper under and it looked good with it too, so has lots of options for both winter and summer wear.
I also love that It can easily be dressed up with some heels for a night out.

As my only negative with this dress was the length and looseness of the sleeves at the wrist, which I can easily fix with a bit of creativity I would recommend this dress as the colour is so so pretty!

You will get to see me all dressed up next week with make up and nice hair for my wedding anniversary, and my final review piece for Simply Be.

Disclaimer : This item was given to me free of charge from Simply be for review, but all comments are my own and I have not been asked or paid to give any items a favourable review.

OOTD

WOW 2 days in a row with new outfit posts!

Today I was down to the dregs of my wardrobe as I ran out of washing powder a couple of days ago but was too unwell to go get more.

So today I am wearing a dress as a skirt, it is a Tesco summer dress, it has 2 layers so is quite warm, a plain black Dorothy Perkins basic Tee and my Next jacket which came as a set from the current catalog, all this with my super comfy Next wide fit boots!

Weirdly the skirt looks pink in the picture but it is more orange, I think my husbands camera phone got a bit excited!

Jacket - Next £32 (part of set)
Dress (as skirt) Tesco £7 in sale No longer available
Tee - Dorothy Perkins £4 last year
Boots - Next Wide Fit £85

Next Wide Fit Boots Review

Knee High Boots!

Every year I live in a pair of knee high boots for the winter, finding a pair that fit can be a bloody nightmare, but I fight every year and I think I have found a winner ready for the winter ahead.

I ordered these boots from the next directory yesterday and they arrived today, that is pretty fab really.

They are very comfortable and fit my legs nicely I have them on with tights and knee high socks, and tried them on over leggings this morning, I don't think I would be able to get them over jeans unless they are a very thin material.

I ordered these in a wide fitting next also have a few styles in extra wide fit, but for me they are too wide in the foot and ankle, I have big calves but fairly thin feet.

The leather feels supple and soft and the details are gorgeous I love the studded straps round the ankle.
The boots are designed to be pulled on but have a small half zip on the inner ankle to help with getting them on over your foot, I could wear these with so much and cant wait to get out and about in them, you may get bored of seeing them as I honestly will live in them.

If you take a look at the next website, the only thing to be careful of is the wide fit section has some standard fit boots on the same page, make sure when you are ordering that the size is shown with a W next to it in the drop down menu.

all in all I am very pleased with these boots and will buy more in the future, well done next,  please bring us some more styles or bring out more of your standard fits in a wide fit, I needed wide fit even when I was a size 12, I have always had wide calves.

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend

Love Mhairi. xxx

I purchased these boots myself, and have not been asked to write this review, all opinions are my own. xx
