Review - Groupon

Groupon

A little while ago I was approached and asked if I would like to review a Groupon voucher, I decided to give it a go as I was unsure how I felt about the Groupon experience.

After searching through, I realised there are so many options, I am not one for beauty treatments but there is something for everyone from hair colouring and cuts, to waxing, electrolysis and teeth whitening.
You can take discounted meals in amazing restaurants and hotel bookings for short getaways.

I decided after mulling it over for a few days I wanted to do something we could do as a family, and I was excited to see that they had an offer for Paradise Wildlife Park which is only a short distance from the town I live in,  so decided to take out the family Groupon offer.

The offer is either 2 adult tickets for £16 or a family of 4 ticket for £25.

This deal can be found HERE

I would say it is worth signing up if you like trying new things and even if your looking for a night out as they often have meals and events and they cover many parts of the country.

My experience was excellent this time so I think I might give something else a try to see how I get on, the voucher was available the next day for me to print and park told me to just come on the day I wished with the voucher, most other vouchers you need to prebook so be aware of this.

These are just a small selection of the animals we visited, I will try to do another fuller post on the park itself as we had a lovely day out.

Go take a look at the site, and if you are in the area, paradise is fabulous especially if you have younger children, or if you are just a big kid like me :)

Festive Party Dresses

Christmas Party season is well underway, and I have been looking at all the fabulously festive offerings available to us plus size Ladies.

I saw this picture on the simply be tumblr this morning and instantly fell in love with this dress, I love the draped material at the front, the shape of the bust line.
Sequin Shoulder Maxi Dress £68

Next on my festive list of lovelies is this gorgeous purple dress from Style 369 with stunning pearl collar detail, The colour looks so festive and warm.
Lovedrobe Purple Pearl Trim Skater Dress £40.00

I have been really liking some of the dresses from yours clothing and I particularly love the gorgeous bright blue of this one, it is a nice midi length which at only 5'2" I find hard to pull off, but would be gorgeous on some of you lovely ladies.
Blue Embellished Waist Midi Dress £35
I love this dress so so much it is so festive and sparkly, Dorothy Perkins have got many beautiful outfits for the festive season and this can work well for so many shapes and sizes I still want to buy it for myself!
Purple 50's Circle Dress £42
Another offering from Yours clothing, this dress is very simple and flattering great for many occasions.
Black and Silver Trim Mesh Dress £30
And finally Asos have made me so happy with this dress, I may find the neckline difficult with my broad shoulders but this can be solved with a simple shrug and I am willing to give it a go just for its spotty gorgeousness!
Asos Curve Skater Dress in Spot Lace £45

Do these dresses set your heart all a flutter or have you chosen something else let me know what your perfect party outfit is. x

OOTD

Ok I have done another outfit of the day post, I got this dress a few weeks ago in the Dorothy Perkins sale and I love it.

Green and purple are my favourite colour so I am often drawn to them, I also loved the circle skirt.

I look awful in the picture but I am really not feeling very well right now, so the way I see it is, if I am brave enough to show you myself at my worst I can show you pictures of me on better days :)

I could do with a better bra under it, but It made me feel pretty on a crappy day :) I also picked up a lovely black dress in a charity shop today for £6 so i will get a picture of that for you soon.

Hope you are all having a good Wednesday.

My Simply Be love affair is growing strong!

Simply Be.

My love affair with Simply Be has been around for a while but I am finding myself drawn more and more to the site for a peruse and drool session.

At the moment, they are trying to kill me with so many lovely things and the temptation of visiting their new stores, but without a job at the moment, I cant really justify buying clothing, but this hasn't stopped me looking and believe me, as soon as I get a job, my wardrobe will again be groaning under the weight of all the gorgeous clothing I will be getting from Simply Be.

These are some of my current obsessions from the website!

I love all the detail on this dress above, from the sequins on the shoulders and the mesh panel down to the dipped hem at the back, it is so effortless and easy to wear for a night out.

This is simply Be's take on Miu Miu and I love it, such pretty detail on the print and a gorgeous shade of red could easily make the transition from day wear to night.

BIRD PRINT! My little obsession and I have been finding it really hard to find a print I like which will go to my size, I love that I could pop a long sleeved top under this and stay snug and warm over the winter months, but carry it into the spring without!

I saw this dress on a few people in the review photos from the Liverpool store opening and thought it looked simply divine, my obsession with butterflies goes back a long way I have 12 butterflies tattooed on myself and own many items with them on, this may have to be on my christmas list!

Coats! Coats! Coats!
As you know from my previous post Coat shopping is the Bane of my life, I literally have panic attacks at the thought of going to buy one, but I am also obsessed with owning them and have at least 7 at the moment, but this coat ticks all my boxes, I wish I knew what the quality of it was like as the price is more than I would usually spend, but I want it so badly!

I have been looking for the perfect pair of lace up boots for a very long time, and I think these are exactly what I am looking for! Not too dressy but could work in many situations, they are rather yummy!
These boots are my perfect work/going out boots, they are sexy and have the most exquisite detail, I think I might become slowly obsessed with these boots!

Simply Be thank you so much for making and continually improving the outlook for plus size fashion! as soon as I am working you will be swamped with my orders I am sure!

Evans A/W Collection Lookbook

Collection at Evans

Last seasons Collection was gorgeous, I was so sad to miss out on getting the bits that I liked but, having just looked at the LOOKBOOK at Evans I WILL be buying a few bits this time around!
A few years ago I used to walk into Evans an walk right back out, nothing would fit me right and would look like something an older person would wear, but recently I have been noticing some fantastic changes, the colours are getting better the cuts more beautiful and the quality so far has been great.

Now, either I am getting older or they are getting better, I am going with getting better!

Take a look and tell me what your favourite pieces are, mine are the rose print blouse and pleat skirt the butterfly tunic and jeans and the first dress.

Getting to know me!

Not many followers at the moment, but this blog is for me and this might be good to look back on in the future to see where I have moved on from here.

So.........hmmm.... This is harder than I thought!

Well lets start easy shall we.

Name - Mhairi aka- lilandra, lilybobomb and bob!
Age - 30
Dress size - anything from a 16 to a 22 depending on where I shop average 18 at the moment.
Hight - 5'2"

So what is there to know about me, well I have had every job known to man (at least it seems that way).
I have sold cars, managed pubs, worked in retail and as a haematology technician, still not sure what I want to be when I grow up, but its getting a bit late to decide!

I got married at the age of 21, to one of my best friends who I met at college Marc, 9 years on we are still happy, contrary to most peoples thoughts at the time.

To be fair we started dating in the march were engaged by may and married in the december and only gave one weeks notice.

This wasn't necessarily the best way to do it but at the time, we felt so stressed out by family issues and organising the wedding we just kind of snapped and said sod it, called the registry office and got the first cancellation available which was only a week away.

Our only regret in doing it this way is that my dad had his passport stolen and couldn't get a replacement in time and couldn't come, but my best friend Andrew gave me away and dad was on the phone to me throughout the day.

Me, Marc and little Josh!

With marrying Marc I had a crash course in becoming a step parent I met josh when he was 2 he was 3 in this picture.

I am very lucky that we have a fantastic relationship and as he came to live with us full time nearly tree and a half years ago I am glad we do get on well.

My favourite photo of Joshua, this is on our living room wall :)

I have a big sister called Claire, who I love very much even though we tried to kill each other a few times when we were kids.

Claire and me.

Claire has given me two gorgeous nephews Harry and Charlie who are twins, Charlie was born with a kidney disorder ARPKD which I know is hard for my sister, I wish I could do more for them.
I am hoping to do the London bridges walk for the Kidneyresearchuk
charity next year. They turned 9 this year and I am so proud of both of them.
This picture was from a couple of years ago, but still love it! (Harry (L), Josh (C) and Charlie (R)

Thats it for now, if there is anything else you want to know please ask and next time I might just have to show you some hilarious fashion fails from my years on planet earth!!!!
