Endless Summer By IGIGI

IGIGI always have dresses that take my breath away and I have worn them for many special occasions and always feel beautiful in them. This summers collection is no exception, there are so many stunning dresses and separates that I just sit looking through the website ooohhhing and aahhhhing none stop! When IGIGI agreed to send me a beautiful dress for review I was very excited to chose.

Being on the short side and fat I am supposed to follow all the rules, no all over patterns, no maxis and all that, but do you know what, Sod that!!! I wear whatever I feel good in, and a patterned maxi is exactly what I have been wanting.

A few caught my eye

They are all perfect and if I had some fabulous summer parties or weddings to attend I would be on these like a flash but I really needed something more casual and every day. I want something I can slip on to go for lunch, for a walk in the park or to do the shopping but that can be dressed up for a night out with my husband when we manage it.

I chose the stunning Tiana Maxi, It has print its a maxi and its bloody gorgeous! IGIGI dresses are usually too long for me, by quite a bit but this one isn't too bad, I had it on with my flatforms and although it was a little long I could wear it without dragging it around in the dirt, might just have a tiny bit taken off so I can wear it with sandals in the summer.

The dress is so pretty and I love how it moves! It looks lovely with a denim jacket too.

Excuse my very puffy face in this picture my medication has been doing funny things with my face, I am asking to change to a new one as it is making me feel horrid!

It even has pockets which in my book just makes a dress even more awesome!

IGIGI might be at the upper end of my price range but I have to say I am never disappointed with the quality of the items I try! the lengths can be a frustration but I have had a few things taken up so they work better for me and I don't mind doing that for clothing I truly love.

Anna Scholz Black Label and White Label SS13

I recently had the Anna Scholz Promotional SS13 emails land in my inbox and wanted to share with you some of the fabulous designs Anna has given us yet again.

Black Label

Starting with the gorgeous printed jersey skirt and the peplum top, I love the simplicity of this outfit, but the fantastic colours in the skirt, so eye catching, this is a perfect work outfit for me, or a lunch date with the girls.

I love the Neon hues in this fabulous maxi skirt but love even more how Anna has teamed it with the beautiful pinks and greys, giving us the neon trend in an easy to wear way, that for me isn't too young.

I still cant decide if I would be able to pull off a pyjama trouser suit but this one rocks my world, and I would certainly give it a go!
It is sexy flirty and perfect for Spring and summer!

Now I might get a little bit crazy over this jacket...Be warned.
When I saw this it immediately jumped out at me, the Parker is very on trend at the moment, but I find most very harsh looking or way to young for me.
Oh but not this one, I love the shape, the colours on the butterflies and dragon flys (I am obsessed with them), but I also love the length, if this jacket is in your reach I say grab it and look amazing!
At the moment, this is not in my price range but I think I will have to try to save up for it as it really is my perfect spring summer jacket!

Next I want to show you a few of my favourite White Label Pieces.

White Label

The colour of this first dress is divine, and the model is stunning, I love her shape!
it is sexy, yet subtle and so so pretty!

I adore this and could see myself looking amazing in it, at some wonderful spring summer weddings and parties

This was the first dress I saw an image for in the new collections and I said WOW out loud, I love the shape, the colour pops and the monochrome, it is simply stunning!

Now Even though Anna's collection is out of my range at the moment, I know for some of my readers she is not, and as I own one of her Cashmere wrap dresses from a few seasons ago, I can honestly say that the dresses are worth every penny.

When I have more free money I would certainly make a purchase or too, as these are pieces that could last many many years in my wardrobe.

Head on over and take a look around ladies, I am heading over to lust after the parka a bit more!

Fatshion Faceoff - Printed Dress

Printed Dress

This weeks challenge was to wear a printed dress, but not floral as we have worn it quite a bit, so I pulled out one of my favourite maxis from the summer but winterised it with a jumper under as I was bloomin freezing today!
It was from Evans in the sale, I picked it up in leeds whilst I was at Plus north and I think it was about £20, and you cant see them but I am wearing my winter staple, knee high boots from Next!

As a big girl we are always taught not to wear prints and avoid light colours, but you know what sod that, I love this dress, it gives me a great waist and I feel really good in it!

The colours are pretty neutral so I wear it with a fair few different cardigans and jackets.

And it has excellent boob space, I can get away with not wearing a cami under ti in the summer which is always a bonus!

Do you like to wear a printed dress, and break the rules?

Go check out the other gorgeous ladies from around the globe taking part!

Review - IGIGI

A while ago I was offered the chance to review a dress of my choice from IGIGI, I was so excited the clothing they make looks so beautiful, with bold patterns and gorgeous colours, so I searched through the site trying to decide which ones I love the most.

Now as you can tell from my blog, I have a bit of a penchant for Circle skirts and flowing dresses, so i decided to push my fashion boundaries and try something new, something terrifyingly fitted, it was a huge challenge to myself as I do not wear fitted clothing!

The dress I chose was the Nicole dress in Berry, when it arrived I was not disappointed, the cut colours and material is amazing, it is a lovely thick jersey type material  (Material: Poly/Viscose/Elastane Double Knit).

I choose to order a US size 14/16 as the last dress I ordered from the US in an 18/20 was big on me, the fit is almost perfect, even has a little room on the bust, which is surprising with my ample bosom, at the moment, I am a little bloated for some reason, so there was a bit of VBO going on, but I could easily solve this with a body shaping dress under, I just need to decide which one to try.

so some pictures of me in the dress...

The colour is fabulous, and even with the slight VBO is still felt amazing in it.

The ladies were happy in there!

Tried to show you the material it is lovely and thick, doesn't crease easily and falls nicely. x

Just wanted to show the pretty necklace i got in the sale a while ago.

Arghhh VBO, but not sure I really care. x

There are so many dresses available on the IGIGI website and I want everyone in the UK to know about them, the quality and fit of this dress is amazing, I wouldn't be able to size up in this as my shoulders would just be too narrow for the 18/20 so happy to stick a shape wear piece under.

I really want to try one of the maxi dresses to see what the fit and material is like they look amazing, my favourites are

and I would also love to try one of there gorgeous feminine wrap circle style dresses, my favourite is the Paloma, the colour is perfect for me.

Take a look at IGIGI they are stunning and well worth the price.
