Geeky Snowflakes Star Wars and Dr Who

If you follow me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram I have possibly driven you insane with all my pictures of the amazing snowflakes that we have been making. I wanted to share with you the links for the different templates I used.

I originally got the bug for geeky snowflakes last Christmas, I came across THIS post from Matters of Grey, where you can download the templates for a whole selection of Star Wars snowflakes. I didn't get around to making them last year, this year though with josh being home schooled and it being near the end of the year, we decided to have some fun arts and crafts sessions.

We made a start with the Star Wars Snowflakes, you do need a craft knife for the inner parts as they are pretty fiddly, but the results are fab!

My first attempt at the Storm trooper was a little bit rough and ready but I still love it!

I have about nineteen more Star Wars ones to make from this pack, I will show you them all once they are finished.

Another designer who I found is Anthony Herrera who has some fabulous designs!

I have only made the Yoda from his templates so far but he is AMAZING!!!
How cool is he!

You can download his templates for 2013 and 2012

In my quest for geeky snowflakes I have been trying to figure out what other sci-fi  films and TV I love and went on the hunt for Dr Who Snowflakes.

These are what I have made so far.

Still getting used to the craft knife so a couple of windows were lost in this one.

Sonic Screwdrivers!

Adipose

Cybermen!

Daleks!

My sources for these ones can be found HERE I followed all the links that are posted and I am slowly making my way through them.
Next on my agenda is finding Star Trek snowflakes.

When we are all finished and the front window is decorated I will pop a little post up for you showing them all off.

If you would like a tutorial on how to fold and make these let me know, it isn't too difficult just fiddly.

Fatshion Faceoff - Red Shoes

Good evening, sorry for my short absence from my blog, I needed some time to recharge and get myself together as I have not been coping well with life recently and the amount of studying I needed to do had overwhelmed me slightly.

I am feeling much better and ready and raring to go again and what better way to come back but with a fabulous outfit and Red Shoes!

These shoes are very old I am afraid about 5 or 6 years old I think so not likely to find the exact ones, but they were from Debenhams which has a fabulous shoe department that I love!

The dress I am wearing is the one I picked up with my voucher for Excite clothing that I won on CurvyWordys blog competition and I love it, you can also see it on the gorgeous FullerFigureFullerBust in the Wine version of the dress which is still available online.

But back the the red shoes!

There is something about red shoes I love, I am instantly drawn to them in shops and always notice them on other people.
They are great for adding a splash of colour to an otherwise simple outfit and to be honest they look fabulous with most things.

I have to apologise for looking a little rough, but this is what happens when I hibernate for two weeks without seeing sunlight.

But head on over to the other ladies and see how they have worn their Red Shoes!

Christmas Gift Guide - Vintage Gems Jewellery

Well can you believe christmas is nearly here again, four short weeks away!

I thought I would put together another gift guide this year of items I love and that I have my eye on for family and friends, I have a few reviews coming up as well to show some of the items off.

Today kicking off my gift guide is a review of the fabulous Vintage Gems Jewellery.

I have already featured one of her necklaces on here before that I purchased earlier this year and I was so happy to realise the set she sent out to me matches my original necklace.

The original necklace I purchased.

I have been sent a ring, earrings and a set of hair grips by the lovely Gemma, and I am in love with them, the quality is lovely and well made, the grips are good and strong, which is important for me and my crazy hair!

Gemma actually has this whole set on offer at the moment, including the necklace for £25 its an amazing gift idea you can see the set HERE

Gemma has some beautiful items and sells them from both her website Vintage Gems Jewellery and her Facebook page

Gemma also makes some of the most amazing up cycled cuffs rings and necklaces plus much more.

Take a look and fall in love like I have.

Thank you again to Gemma for sending the pieces out, they are totally stunning.

Christmas Day

I hope you all had a fantastic christmas!

This year for me, has turned out to be brilliant, I had such a lovely day yesterday, with my family that I have been on a high.

I got some amazing gift that I love, and best of all my step son, told us it was his best christmas ever, after getting his new phone :)

My outfit for the day ended up being a bit of a hodgepodge but my sister got me a knitted skirt that I adored and my step son wanted me to wear the new top he bought me, so I think I looked a little miss matched but it was so comfy and with all the cleaning and handling 8 people and 7 dogs it was a good option!

Top - Dorothy Perkins
Skirt - New Look
Boots - Asos
Cardigan - Wallis

I hope santa made you all happy bunnies, I will show you some my other gifts over the next couple of days.xxxx

Merry Christmas

Well this is likely to be my last post before christmas, as my family descend on us tomorrow, I will be cooking for 8 people on sunday with 7 dogs in the house, but thank goodness, we all work together to get it done, my sister went to college to train in hotel and catering and my mum trained as a cook, so it is usually a rather good christmas dinner.

I just nearly had a teary moment, as my stepsons pile of presents looks so small this year, It isn't really and it has cost us a small fortune, he is 12 and wearing mens size small clothing already so anything we get costs especially as he has a love of Topshop and River Island already :) Fingers crossed he loves what we have got for him :) x

This year has been a difficult one and I am looking forward to it finally ending but it has also been amazing in other ways, mostly getting on with my blogging finally after years of umming and ahhing about it.

Sending you all my love and hoping you all have amazing and beautiful christmas days and get everything you wished for.

See you all on the other side.

Dangerous FX

On Saturday Night I was at the Hammersmith Apollo seeing Evanescence, it was an amazing concert as always, it was the 3rd time I have been to see them and would go again.

I ended up in my usual jeans and a top as I was feeling anxious and stressed so couldn't decide what to wear.

Whilst I was there I saw so many gorgeous girls both plus sizes and not in the most gorgeous Gothic and pinup clothing, and decided it was high time I got off my arse and started wearing some of the clothes I love and not worrying about it so much.

This led to me searching the net for fab plus size suppliers and brought me to Dangerous FX, they do a fantastic range of clothing from a size 8 to a size 30 in various ranges some don't go that high, but there is a excellent range to choose from.

Below are some of my favourite styles, I plan on ordering something very soon so I can let you know what the service and quality is like.

BLACK GOTHIC PINSTRIPE FRILLY WRAP & BUCKLE SWISHY WAISTCOAT TOP 6-28 £31.99

I think this dress is so sexy and cute all at the same time, and available up to a size 28 is fantastic.

BLACK LONG MERMAID FISHTAIL CORSET SKIRT size 8-30

£34.00
I love a good fishtail coat and anything with corseting detail is a win in my eyes!

SLINKY HIGH WAISTED NAUTICAL BRACES SKIRT BLACK or RED 8-28

£27.50

BLACK WHITE POLKADOT SWEETHEART BUNNY JIVE SWING 50'S DRESS 8-28

£47.99
What a gorgeous dress, the polka dot panels and bust line are stunning, the shape is gorgeous!

£43.99
I want to be all nautical in this dress, it is so lovely.

BLACK VELVET REGENCY VICTORIAN VAMPIRE JACKET 6-28

£52.99

RETRO RED BLACK POLKA STRAPLESS SWING SASH DRESS 10-32

These are some of the thing I wish I could afford and would love to buy but cant right now, so I am making my dream list for christmas.

It is a bit photo heavy, so sorry about that.

Some of these are realistic some are highly unlikely, but I like to dream and spend my imaginary millions!

ASOS Curve Love!

Why oh Why do you make me want so much ASOS

ASOS recently have been drawing me into a shopping lust frenzy, even though there have been a few reports in the blogging world of fitting problems, I really want o get my hands on this little lot and hope they have got it right!

This dress just does it for me, I love the colour, the neckline the length scares me a bit, but I think I would be prepared to brave it!

I actually did a little dance when I saw this come onto the site below are a pair of shoes I have had for age, they aren't to everyones taste, butI have a little obsession with Iron fist shoes and have been looking for the perfect black dress to rock with them. This is it!
My lush shoes!

I like that this dress is one Navy, Two a decent length and three has see through sleeves which I have a bit of a thing for at the moment, the only bad points for me is it looks far too fitted to me, and it is at a length that on me would probably reach the floor!

Love the colour, the shape and the length, it is soooo pretty.

This is not my usual like, but it keeps drawing my eye back to it, and making me go ooohhh ahhh.

So So Pretty, I love a good Tutu!

I am still on the hunt for my perfect party dress, ASOS have many strong contenders, I wonder how they all fit!

What do you think of the selection above, which dress appeals to you?

I will hopefully get some outfit posts up, but this last few weeks have been exhausting and stressful, and I have been living in scruffy clothes, that are ok to get covered in puppy messes!
