Bargains!

Today Marc and me had a day for us, we went out for some lunch in town and had a little look around the shops and the saturday market stalls.

There isnt very much to get excited about in my town as it is very small, it has a New Look which is tiny and of course stocks none of the inspire range and thats about it unless your under a size 14 and like expensive designer boutiques.

Today though I hit the jackpot in New Look they have a sale on at the moment and they have dropped the prices of the shoes in the sale to ridiculously low prices, today I managed to pick up 2 pairs of flats for £6.

Now New Look flats never last very long with me but for £3 who can say no both are fab for wearing with my jeans and dresses and I love the bow detail and the colour of the purple pair!

We also popped into Mrs Simms sweetshop which is one of these new old fashioned places that have popped up and I get myself some of my favourites!

I also got this fab calculator last week for the Maths module of my degree course and I have a blog post to write about the crap customer service I received when I got it, but it was so pretty I just had to share!

Hope your all having a fab weekend, I have a review for you tomorrow so keep an eye out and I will see you then!

Evans Shoes - Review

Earlier this year I was contacted by the lovely team at Evans and asked if I would like to review some of the new AW12 shoe range, now as I am a shoe addict I said yes please!

Now I had been expecting a pair to arrive but 2 beautiful pairs of heels arrived which were totally gorgeous, the stunning blue pair which I have worn with one of my Fatshion faceoff post Here are at the smaller end of the size scale for my feet, I wear anything from a 5 to a 6 these are a size 5 and a little snug on my swollen feet days, but the black are perfect, seen Here and Here

Both have lovely round heels that are perfect to walk in for me as I am usually a bit tottery on heels, and a small front platform, which I cant live without!

Both shoes are a fantastic addition to your AW wardrobe and the Flexisoles are fabulous!

Evans were also kind enough to later send me out a pair of boots and some ballet flats, which also turned out to be fabulous, the boots are the patent brogues which I have already had a tonne of wear out of and the other pair are the snake skin toe and heel flats which are very pretty but unfortunately the incorrect size so I haven't been able to wear these to tell you about the comfort, but they are supper pretty to look at!

I adore the brogue detailing on these boots and they also have a chelsea boot elasticated type side which is fabulous, they are unbelievably comfy and I think I am going to wear them to death in the next few months!

The Flats are gorgeous too, I wish I could wear them as they look amazingly comfortable but a size 4 sadly will not go on my foot!

The feel beautiful, supple and soft with a lovely lining, and again the Flexisoles so comfort is highly likely!

If you want to buy any of these shoes which I would highly recommend head over to Evans for a look!

EVANS BLACK AND NEUTRAL SNAKE PLATFORM COURT SHOES £35

EVANS BLUE PLAIN PLATFORM SHOES £35

EVANS BROGUEING DETAIL CHELSEA BOOT £39.50

EVANS BLACK METAL DISC PUMPS £27

Fatshion Faceoff - Scarf as Belt

Scarf and Belt

Fatshion faceoff is here again and this week is wearing a scarf as a belt, now I don't have many scarfs so had to make use of what I had, I feel I could make this work much better with a square scarf as I currently have only a very large rectangular scarf.

I think I will go to my local charity shops and look for some new scarfs to experiment with, and hopefully I can bring you some future outfits with scarfs as a belt that are a bit more interesting than this one.

Dress - Newlook last season
Shoes - Newlook
Scarf - butterfly farm

I really need to look up some interesting ways of knotting the scarf for more interest.
and I want to try twisting the scarf to make it look a bit different but overall I like the contrast and it could be good to have some interesting patterns and colours.

Go take a look at the other beautiful ladies and there fabulous efforts.

Fatshion Faceoff - Brightly coloured Shoes

Yay another Fatshion Faceoff challenge, I have really been looking forward to this challenge, it is one thing I love to do, take a simple outfit and lift it up from dullsville by using accessories or shoes to really brighten it up.

This week my whole house has been battling a horrible Cold/virus thing that is making me feel utterly crap!

So today I wanted to wear black! plain old boring Black! but wearing a nice bright coloured pair of shoes made me happier than I though they could.

I went for simple jeans and a comfy black top, but one that has a little bit of interest to make it a bit less boring.
I choose to brighten my outlook with my Coral pink flats from Newlook.

The top is a really old one, like 4/5 years old, but hardly ever worn, and the jeans a Dorothy Perkins Skinny Jeans.
This is my Take the damn picture so I can go die on the sofa again face :)

And my taking a deep breath face.

The cutout back which I love.

This isnt the most comprehensive post, but I can bearly breath so I am off back to my pit (the sofa) and promise to be back on form next week.

Check out the other fabulous ladies and how they styled up there Brightly coloured shoes.

Fashion Faceoff - Coloured Trousers

Coloured Trousers

This week It was Molly's turn to choose an item for us all to style, and her choice was Coloured trousers.

Now luckily I have a pair of gorgeous rich green skinny jeans so new I had something to wear, but I have hardly worn them yet, as I didn't know what to pair them with, but in the end I think I did ok.

I love the floral tunic and belt over the top, and fell cool and comfortable wearing the whole outfit, I need a better belt though as this one is a little on the small side.

What do you think.....

This is the swing I fell asleep on at the weekend, and later found out the neighbour had been looking over the fence because I was snoring, I am so classy :)

The tunic is from Evans last year, and I often slip it on with leggings and teamed it with a long sleeved red or blue top in the winter.

This is the beautiful bracelet my sister made for me, love it!

Jeans - Asda G21
Shoes - Newlook
Bracelet - Funk and Finery
Belt, off another dress.

Go see what the other girls are wearing in their interpretations of this weeks Fatshion Challenge.

OOTD

Just a quick outfit post from this weekend, Had a crazy day yesterday, clearing the garden, and tidying up the house, so spent the whole day in joggers and t-shirts (High Fashion I know).

But I thought I would show you how I looked on saturday in the ridiculously popular swallow dress from New Look, it has taken the blogging world by storm, I picked mine up in the sale last week, and I have to say it is ridiculously comfortable, I teamed it with black tights and coral coloured flats also from the sale.

My other half chopped my head off, whoops :)

I liked this photo!

Dress - Newlook (sold out)
Coral Flats - Newlook £6

I hadn't planned on buying the dress, as so many had already blogged it, but for £12 i just couldn't say no, and I am glad i didn't.

What did you all get up to this weekend, was it as exciting as my dump runs and cleaning?

Mhairi.
