Looking fabulous in Firmoo

Hello to my lovely readers, so sorry for such a long delay in coming back life has been kind of crazy recently. Things are finally coming together and I will tell you all about it in a few post very soon.

Even though things have been crazy and this post is very very overdue I have at least looked fabulous during it all thanks to the lovely team at Firmoo who let me choose a gorgeous pair of glasses to review in my prescription.

There is so much to choose from it was a really tough decision but it was well worth it as I love my glasses and live in them. Sadly in the time it has taken to get organised the pair I chose are no longer on the site that I can find but I will show you how cute they are and the others that I really loved and still want to order.

I have to apologise or the picture quality, I have some gorgeous photos on my camera but my cable for getting them off has vanished so to stop any more delays I have used the ones off my phone for now and will add my camera ones as soon as I have access to a cable again.

I am honestly madly in love with these frames I love the reds and the shape suits me, I don't feel overpowered in them.

Firmoo offer so many frames and it is difficult not to just add the entire catalogue to this post but I will try to whittle it down a bit.
I love the shape and colour of these frames.

I love these so much they are green which makes them perfect and they are tortoise shell which is another bonus.

I tend to gravitate towards rectangular frames as they work well with my face shape, these are very cute I love the brighter tones within the tortoise shell pattern.

Firmoo prices are excellent and they offer many different options for the lenses to be thinned and for coatings all that you would expect from an opticians these add to the overall cost of the frames, you need your full prescription from you recent eye test and also your pupillary distance which you can ask your optician to give you I called and requested mine and picked it up the same day.

There is a flash sale on right now but I am not sure how long it lasts or what the terms and conditions are so take a look HERE if it is still going.

Endless Summer By IGIGI

IGIGI always have dresses that take my breath away and I have worn them for many special occasions and always feel beautiful in them. This summers collection is no exception, there are so many stunning dresses and separates that I just sit looking through the website ooohhhing and aahhhhing none stop! When IGIGI agreed to send me a beautiful dress for review I was very excited to chose.

Being on the short side and fat I am supposed to follow all the rules, no all over patterns, no maxis and all that, but do you know what, Sod that!!! I wear whatever I feel good in, and a patterned maxi is exactly what I have been wanting.

A few caught my eye

They are all perfect and if I had some fabulous summer parties or weddings to attend I would be on these like a flash but I really needed something more casual and every day. I want something I can slip on to go for lunch, for a walk in the park or to do the shopping but that can be dressed up for a night out with my husband when we manage it.

I chose the stunning Tiana Maxi, It has print its a maxi and its bloody gorgeous! IGIGI dresses are usually too long for me, by quite a bit but this one isn't too bad, I had it on with my flatforms and although it was a little long I could wear it without dragging it around in the dirt, might just have a tiny bit taken off so I can wear it with sandals in the summer.

The dress is so pretty and I love how it moves! It looks lovely with a denim jacket too.

Excuse my very puffy face in this picture my medication has been doing funny things with my face, I am asking to change to a new one as it is making me feel horrid!

It even has pockets which in my book just makes a dress even more awesome!

IGIGI might be at the upper end of my price range but I have to say I am never disappointed with the quality of the items I try! the lengths can be a frustration but I have had a few things taken up so they work better for me and I don't mind doing that for clothing I truly love.

IGIGI Review - Valentina and Natasha

So this is the first in a series of reviews from me and my mum.

I have found that in straight sizes many shops cater for only a targeted age group, for example my mum would be unlikely to go into Top shop or somewhere similar and want to buy something even if she was not plus sized, but as plus sized clothing is so much harder to source I wanted to see how they are catering for different generations and if they are able to do it well.

The wedding I attended last week was a good opportunity for me to investigate this as we would both be on the hunt for the perfect outfit for the day, and whilst talking with my lovely friends at IGIGI they offered to send us both a dress to try as they want to offer all women beautiful and sophisticated clothing.

My choice was the Valentina and mums was the Natasha, both looked gorgeous on the website.

When they arrived we were not disappointed the Valentina is amazing in person, the print is so vivid and beautiful, its like fire and the hints of blue and pink are stunning and make accessorising lots of fun!, the skirt feels so silky and soft its hard not to touch it.
The Natasha has stunning shades of blue and green and the chiffon feels beautiful to the touch as well, the empire waist looked lovely on mum and the cross over has excellent coverage but as my mum has quite an ample bust she pinned it to hide the central gore of her bra but in a plunge bra this would not be an issue at all.

A close up of the pattern, this is the closest representation of the colours and how they look in real life, and you can see the blues and pinks.

Bit over exposed but I really love how the dress sits!

I honestly feel completely and utterly amazing in this dress, it just falls beautifully and I have had so many compliments on it, as you can just see I teamed it with a pair of blue heels that matched the blue in the dress perfectly, the neckline is quite revealing but can easily be pinned to make it more conservative if you have a large chest like me.The materials used in this dress are just lovely the skirt is charmeuse silk and the top part is a poly/ elastane mix, both feel fantastic!

This dress costs $170 and I have to say it is more than worth the price!

My lovely mum looking gorgeous and happy, she isn't one to wear dresses that often but asked me to say that she is so in love with this dress that she may be a convert :) The colours in the skirt worked beautifully on her.

I loved how much fun she had having her picture taken, she normally runs a mile but she obviously felt great and was having a fab time, the one thing we both loved about the Natasha dress was how versatile it is, she dressed it up with her heels and gorgeous little hat, but it could just as easily be used as a day dress with a pair of ballet flats and a cardi over the top.

At $122 mum said it is more than worth the price and will be keeping an eye on IGIGI for all her future parties and events.

There are a couple of things happening with IGIGI at the moment that I think are worth mentioning, first is their Curve Connection campaign which shows everyday women wearing their clothing and gives you a chance to see them on a variety of shapes and sizes.

Salma Dress $102

I really need them both in my wardrobe!

Take a look at the IGIGI site and I am sure you will fall in love as much as I have.

My sister has got me this dress too, I cant wait to wear it, it looks gorgeous!

The day was truly wonderful Nicole and Ryan made is so special for themselves and their guests, the attention to detail was fantastic!

These gorgeous chirpy birds on the order of service were just the start.

My gorgeous Stepson and Nephews waiting in the church.

We each received one of these fabulous tea towels as the wedding invitation, such a brilliant idea!

The gorgeous Nicole and Ryan with her Sister Kattrina and her Brother Ross

The stunning blue colours from the invitations matched the gorgeous bouquets and the Bridesmaids dresses.

My sister also made these gorgeous little bracelets for the bridesmaids to wear.

She also made this gorgeous hair pin for Nicole to wear.

Each table had a Birdcage centre piece which has the candle lit and stunning blue glasses, the kids had a box each with games and things to occupy them.

Our place markers continued the pretty bird theme, and were attached to our wedding favours.

The Favours themselves were AMAZING!!!! they were chocolate covered toffee apples the girls had these white chocolate ones that looked like a wedding dress.

The boys ones looked like little suits!

The wedding cake was simply stunning and had these two gorgeous little chirpy birds on it too.

The Bird Cage cake was truly stunning!

The mother of the bride isn't a big flower fan so instead the got her a bouquet of chocolate, how fab is that!

We also played Bingo, which we all loved and my husband won a prize, I have never heard someone so happy to scream bingo before, it was hilarious!

And my sister may kill me for posting this but two very tired girls at the end of a long day and I was a little drunk by this point! (It doesn't take much)

But whats more worrying is this was us at the start of the reception!

To Nicole and Ryan if you get round to having a read of this, thank you so much for having us, it was an amazing day and I am so proud of my little Noo Noo and her lovely new husband!

My reviews will follow over the next week or so, so keep an eye out, this was very photo heavy so sorry about that, but there was just so much to show you and I did get it down from the 500 photos I took on the day :)

Evans Shoes - Review

Earlier this year I was contacted by the lovely team at Evans and asked if I would like to review some of the new AW12 shoe range, now as I am a shoe addict I said yes please!

Now I had been expecting a pair to arrive but 2 beautiful pairs of heels arrived which were totally gorgeous, the stunning blue pair which I have worn with one of my Fatshion faceoff post Here are at the smaller end of the size scale for my feet, I wear anything from a 5 to a 6 these are a size 5 and a little snug on my swollen feet days, but the black are perfect, seen Here and Here

Both have lovely round heels that are perfect to walk in for me as I am usually a bit tottery on heels, and a small front platform, which I cant live without!

Both shoes are a fantastic addition to your AW wardrobe and the Flexisoles are fabulous!

Evans were also kind enough to later send me out a pair of boots and some ballet flats, which also turned out to be fabulous, the boots are the patent brogues which I have already had a tonne of wear out of and the other pair are the snake skin toe and heel flats which are very pretty but unfortunately the incorrect size so I haven't been able to wear these to tell you about the comfort, but they are supper pretty to look at!

I adore the brogue detailing on these boots and they also have a chelsea boot elasticated type side which is fabulous, they are unbelievably comfy and I think I am going to wear them to death in the next few months!

The Flats are gorgeous too, I wish I could wear them as they look amazingly comfortable but a size 4 sadly will not go on my foot!

The feel beautiful, supple and soft with a lovely lining, and again the Flexisoles so comfort is highly likely!

If you want to buy any of these shoes which I would highly recommend head over to Evans for a look!

EVANS BLACK AND NEUTRAL SNAKE PLATFORM COURT SHOES £35

EVANS BLUE PLAIN PLATFORM SHOES £35

EVANS BROGUEING DETAIL CHELSEA BOOT £39.50

EVANS BLACK METAL DISC PUMPS £27
