Evans Shoes - Review

Earlier this year I was contacted by the lovely team at Evans and asked if I would like to review some of the new AW12 shoe range, now as I am a shoe addict I said yes please!

Now I had been expecting a pair to arrive but 2 beautiful pairs of heels arrived which were totally gorgeous, the stunning blue pair which I have worn with one of my Fatshion faceoff post Here are at the smaller end of the size scale for my feet, I wear anything from a 5 to a 6 these are a size 5 and a little snug on my swollen feet days, but the black are perfect, seen Here and Here

Both have lovely round heels that are perfect to walk in for me as I am usually a bit tottery on heels, and a small front platform, which I cant live without!

Both shoes are a fantastic addition to your AW wardrobe and the Flexisoles are fabulous!

Evans were also kind enough to later send me out a pair of boots and some ballet flats, which also turned out to be fabulous, the boots are the patent brogues which I have already had a tonne of wear out of and the other pair are the snake skin toe and heel flats which are very pretty but unfortunately the incorrect size so I haven't been able to wear these to tell you about the comfort, but they are supper pretty to look at!

I adore the brogue detailing on these boots and they also have a chelsea boot elasticated type side which is fabulous, they are unbelievably comfy and I think I am going to wear them to death in the next few months!

The Flats are gorgeous too, I wish I could wear them as they look amazingly comfortable but a size 4 sadly will not go on my foot!

The feel beautiful, supple and soft with a lovely lining, and again the Flexisoles so comfort is highly likely!

If you want to buy any of these shoes which I would highly recommend head over to Evans for a look!

EVANS BLACK AND NEUTRAL SNAKE PLATFORM COURT SHOES £35

EVANS BLUE PLAIN PLATFORM SHOES £35

EVANS BROGUEING DETAIL CHELSEA BOOT £39.50

EVANS BLACK METAL DISC PUMPS £27

Swan by Clements Ribeiro at Evans preview

The fabulous new Swan collection by Clements Ribeiro will be hitting Evans online from September first, so wanted to give my readers a little peek at whats coming.

I was offered the chance to go to the bloggers event with Evans last week, but due to my evil (expensive) dentist I was not able to attend on the day, the fabulous Carina sent me the link to the PR photos so I could still show you the up coming collection.

I must admit I love many of the pieces but I am not sure I can carry them all off, but would be happy to give them a go!

001 - £95

002 - £125
003 - £75

004 - £15

005 - £65

006 - £65

007 - £??

008 - £75

009 - £115

010 - £95
001 - I love the mix of patterns in this dress, the beautiful spots with the floral detail is just so pretty, would like to try this, but think it might be massively too long for my 5'2" hight.

002 - I have always been confused but short sleeve coats, but I do love the look of this and maybe with chunky knits it could be a great transitional coat!

003 - Now this is the dress I have to get my hands on, I have been looking for the perfect plus size peplum dress, that isn't made of cheap thin jersey material for ages, and this looks like it could be a winner! I will keep you posted as to my luck in getting funds together for this little beauty.

004 - I love this belt, it is simple and will work with so many items in my wardrobe, it also comes in a black option if you need something more functional!

005 - Part of me completely loves this, the image is beautiful the monochrome is fabulous, but I worry I will look either old and frumpy or like im trying to be young and funky and not pulling off either, with a belt I might be able to pull it off, but then it will ruin the gorgeous image on the dress, hmm, I just don't know!

006 - This little monochrome number would be far easier to pull off and could easily work a belt to change the shape to suit me, possible an easier option.

007 - Couldn't see a price for this one, but the colour blocking is lovely, I like the vibrant colour on the waist!

008 - I love this colour and pattern, but again think it would be hard for me to wear, being a short arse!

009 - this little flapper dress is stunning, and is a must for all vintage fashion lovers, it is a beautiful modern take on the 20's

010 - I love the neckline on this, it looks like it will sit right on the edge of your shoulders, which can look so lovely.

So are you excited for the AW12 Swan range, did you love the SS12 collection or does it just not do it for you?

Clothing at Tescos - Plus Size Panel

Whilst at plus north we had a fantastic talk by Kim from Tesco who told us that they have taken on a new buyer for the Plus size range, and asked us to contact them if we were interested in taking part in the plus size panel.

I have been lucky enough to be involved this time and have been sent a selection of images to show my readers of the A/W range which will be coming into stores and online from this week onwards and have been asked to get some feedback from you to let them know what the reaction to the new stock is.

This is my favourite overall look from the images sent over, it appeals to my relaxed, laid back nature.
Coat - £30
Top - £14
Jeans - £14

They have some gorgeous coloured denim in the range, and I like the above shrug as it is simple and fairly easy to integrate into my wardrobe.
Stud Jacket - £16
Jeans - £14

This tunic is a bit bland for me, but it is a nice looking item and will appeal to other women.
Tunic - £14
Jeans - £14

Again I am loving the coloured denim, and the beautiful colours in the top.
Jacket - £22
Top - £12
Jeans - £14
This top is more to my taste, but I wish it had a little more shape!
Tunic - £14
Jeans - £14
I want to love this dress but the image makes me hate it.
Ponte Lace Dress - £18

I hope not to offend Tesco with my thoughts on the images and clothing as I love Clothing at Tesco as a general rule and some of the items are really nice but they are still missing something for me, I am plus size and I love shape and nipped in waists as much now as I did at a much smaller size than I am now, I love a comfy T-shirt at times too, but not all the time.

The range is more fashion forward than it has been in the past, but I still want more I want what I saw from the straight range but in the plus sizes, I want the glitz and glam, heritage looks, please :)

The Ponte Lace Dress for me, could be perfect but again the choice of model used is really putting me off, I don't deny she is utterly stunning and in the straight size range would be a welcome change, but on the last image the dress is easily 2/3 sizes too big for her, she is not the target size for  the True range which still makes no sense to me in an advertising campaign!

There are plenty of women from a size 16 to a 26 who work as models who would fill this dress in the way it should be worn and make it look amazing, even if they had pinned the dress to make it look its best would have helped.

I have tried to answer the questions below in my post but please take the time to read them and give me your thoughts in the comments section, Tesco do want our feedback and this is a rare thing, so lets do what we can to keep this kind of communication going and maybe we can see even more positive steps forward in the future.

What do you think of the range in general, and which looks/items are your favourite.

Do you and your reader feel inspired by these pieces - would they encourage you to look at Clothing at Tesco online or in store?

Do you think this collection is more fashionable and trendy than previous Clothing at Tesco ranges or other Plus Size collections

Tescos have the True Range which comes in sizes 16-28 and also now Ann Harvey which stock a size 16-32 go take a look, and keep an eye out for the new items coming in.

Gok @ Simply Be Lingerie AW12 Review

Since the press images were release online, I have been lusting after the whole new AW12 Gok range and now it is released, I have been frantically paying of my last purchases on my Simply Be account so I can order some fabulous items from the range.

The campaign images are utterly fabulous fantastic pin ups!
I would have leapt at the chance to get this but I cant find it in my size, so will have to stick to the pretty knickers and bras.

As soon as I saw the press images, I began paying off my account asap so I could order something from the collection, not easy on my current budget, but it is getting there, so when the wonderful Hannah from the new PR company handling the Gok launches came to me and offered me the change to try something from the range I was so so excited, and knew what it needed to be.

The price is excellent!

I asked for it to be sent in a 38G as this is as close to my usual size as I can get, when it arrived I was happy to find the fit pretty good, it doesn't quite sit flush with my chest at the central gore but over all pretty good a 38H would have been perfect if they went to the H cup.

As you can see it encompasses my ample assets petty darn well, I may try this in the 40G if it comes back into stock as I really love it and might need 2 for the amount I plan on wearing it :)

The material that the bra is made from is so soft, I hardly felt it on my skin. The straps are fully extendable but made out of an elasticated material so were quite big on me, but with adjustments I made them work, the did slip slightly and get longer, I prefer straps with a bit of embroidery on them as it give it something to grip to, but it wast fast so only needed to adjust once in the day.

The blue on white dotty pattern is divine!

I was also sent the high waisted briefs to match, no photos of me in them i am afraid as my mosquito bites have been so bad, no one wants to see that! but the fit perfectly and look amazing on!

I am also going to get myself the Liquorice Racer back bra too as it is a lovely alternative to a plain black bra.

Included in the campaign pack were these two images of the Gok slips and it made want one even more, I don't wear shaping underwear to look slimmer, i just like the smooth outline they give me under clothing.

This wear your own bra one is fabulous as it means I can wear it even if it doesn't come in my cup size, but I am holding onto the hope Gok will release one with shorts attached instead of the skirt as it is important for me to stop the old leg rub!

Please though Gok make it with the slit opening underneath and not poppers as I hate them :)

Take a look at the whole range HERE as it is fabulous!

Tescos F&F AW12 Press Day

Clothing at Tesco has improved amazingly over the years but I have to say the clothing I saw at this event were truly beautiful, and on a whole new level, take a look through my day here and enjoy it as much as I did.

So many photo's and this is not even half of them!

The venue was fabulous we were at One Marlebone opposite Great Portland Street Station.

AW12

The whole range of clothing we had the chance to see were just beautiful to be honest, but I honestly on more than one occasion found myself saying simply WOW.
They have gone with 4 Main trends which I have put together from the PR shots for you to see below.

Pictures from PRShots.com
According to the write up Salute is a new take on the Military trend which is more luxurious and evening-appropriate than previous seasons, with luxe materials.
Pictures from PRShots.com
Belgravia is aiming for the street style of London and the glamour of Paris, with its laid back chic style with a glossy luxurious edge.
Pictures from PRShots.com
I like this description from the press info, Neo Gothic is 2012's update on the glam goth trend, it is seductive, dark and dramatic with an elegant, edwardian twist.
Pictures from PRShots.com
Heritage is an eclectic mix of traditional fabrics with a country house style with equestrian details for the lady of the manor look.

All of the above was taken from the press look books we were given on the day.

I have to say that Neo Gothic and Belgravia are my favourites and I can see my purse taking a bit of a beating this AW12 season, the textures and tones just suit me.

Below are some of my own photos from the day to give you a fuller idea of the fabulousness to come!

Everything had a very luxurious feel to it, the lace top on the right is beautiful in person.

The Coats and Jackets which were on offer were amazing, the quality felt far higher than I have ever seen in previous years, and the prices were fantastic, I think both of the above were around the £40 range, the military on the left is my favourite of the day the tailoring and detail were fantastic, The wax like jacket on the right looked fantastic, far higher end than the price suggests.

Animals seemed to be a bit of a theme with squirrels, rabbits, swans and birds taking centre stage, the squirrel made me giggle with its furry tail!

I loved both of these pairs of boots, I am not so sure the knee boots will fit my Calf but the Chelsea boots were really lovely!

The shoes and boots on offer were beautiful the colours are beautiful the jewel tones above are stunning and the Navy bag needs to be mine ASAP, whilst on route the venue we walked down regents street and passed the Michael Kors Shop and this bag is so similar to the ones sold there that I cant wait to get my hands on it!

And the lace bag above is just yummy, as were the shoes.

Last bit from the AW12 collection it the top and Jacket above which I really need in my life too!

There was a whole section at the venue aimed at Menswear and children's wear which I didn't get much of a chance to look around so I might do a separate post and show you some of the PR pictures of the items to come separately

But here is the room it was in, just so I can show you how fabulous the venue actually was.

If you cant wait till the AW12 collection comes out we also got a peek at the High Summer range which will come out in the next few weeks there were tribal, tropical and pastels on offer as well as some transitional pieces and it was pretty fabulous.

High Summer

Tribal

Ok I will leave it there now, but I just want to finish by saying a huge thank you to wonderful ladies from the PR companies and from tescos who made us feel welcome and treated us so well.
