Violeta by Mango

This collection is going to take a beating from the plus community, for not being bold enough and not offering the same range and Mango's main line, but I have to say I am kinda in love with most of it.
Sometimes I do like to stand out in crazy fashion but other times I like to feel grown up and sophisticated, and that is the feeling I get form this collection.

Mango is a brand I have loved for years, my parents moved to Majorca in the late 90's when I was coming to the end of my teens and Mango was a huge brand there, so many of my clothes came from them for quite a while until I no longer fitted in them.

The Violeta range isn't as brave as there main range but it does stick to there design feel, it is clean, sophisticated and simple, the prices are slightly higher maybe but not by much.

Robyn Lawley looks amazing in the press images!

I have chosen some of my favorite pieces, there are many more but the post would bet a bit long if I added them all.

Even though the range isn't breaking any new fashion barriers or taking huge risks, I do think it is important to remember that Mango are taking  leap by introducing a plus range. The sizes apparently go up to a 24 which hopefully can be improved on but very few other brands have taken this step, hopefully if it does well it will improve and become bolder!

What do you think of the range?

Anna Scholz Black Label and White Label SS13

I recently had the Anna Scholz Promotional SS13 emails land in my inbox and wanted to share with you some of the fabulous designs Anna has given us yet again.

Black Label

Starting with the gorgeous printed jersey skirt and the peplum top, I love the simplicity of this outfit, but the fantastic colours in the skirt, so eye catching, this is a perfect work outfit for me, or a lunch date with the girls.

I love the Neon hues in this fabulous maxi skirt but love even more how Anna has teamed it with the beautiful pinks and greys, giving us the neon trend in an easy to wear way, that for me isn't too young.

I still cant decide if I would be able to pull off a pyjama trouser suit but this one rocks my world, and I would certainly give it a go!
It is sexy flirty and perfect for Spring and summer!

Now I might get a little bit crazy over this jacket...Be warned.
When I saw this it immediately jumped out at me, the Parker is very on trend at the moment, but I find most very harsh looking or way to young for me.
Oh but not this one, I love the shape, the colours on the butterflies and dragon flys (I am obsessed with them), but I also love the length, if this jacket is in your reach I say grab it and look amazing!
At the moment, this is not in my price range but I think I will have to try to save up for it as it really is my perfect spring summer jacket!

Next I want to show you a few of my favourite White Label Pieces.

White Label

The colour of this first dress is divine, and the model is stunning, I love her shape!
it is sexy, yet subtle and so so pretty!

I adore this and could see myself looking amazing in it, at some wonderful spring summer weddings and parties

This was the first dress I saw an image for in the new collections and I said WOW out loud, I love the shape, the colour pops and the monochrome, it is simply stunning!

Now Even though Anna's collection is out of my range at the moment, I know for some of my readers she is not, and as I own one of her Cashmere wrap dresses from a few seasons ago, I can honestly say that the dresses are worth every penny.

When I have more free money I would certainly make a purchase or too, as these are pieces that could last many many years in my wardrobe.

Head on over and take a look around ladies, I am heading over to lust after the parka a bit more!

Lifestyle - Bedroom

I often dream of the day I can buy all the pretty things I want, to decorate my home and make it more me.

You all know that day, the dream of winning the lottery, well yeah thats about as likely to happen to me as it raining fish on my front door, so instead I search the web, charity shops and furniture stores like a hawk after it prey until I find things I like!

Recently while perusing the internet an advert came up for an online store called made.com, out of curiosity I clicked through the link and took a look and I am now obsessed with the item below, it is out of my price range for now, but it needs to get in my bedroom asap!

I love the design, the shape, the colours and well everything about it to be honest, I have an obsession with dark wood and this is near perfect in my eyes.

I am preying that the quality matches the price tag as I know nothing about this company, but I think I am willing to raise the cash to find out!

A few other pieces from the site have really jumped out at me including these three below.

I made a promise to myself that I would stop buying cheap furniture and save for some solid old second hand stuff that was made to last, but these newer bits are calling my name!

I would recommend a look around the site there are some pretty things there, but do some research look for some independant testimonials about the company I do it before I buy anything from somewhere new.

I am planning on restarting some of the decorating in the house, it is normally a crazy mess but would you be interested in some post about it on the blog?

Let me know in the comments.

Eliza Parker Review

This year we had a night at home for New years eve, the excitement of being ill, but I wanted you to see the amazing dress which Eliza Parker sent to me, it is truly beautiful.

I chose the Monaco Dress in Teal, the colour up close is stunning.

The dress itself is so well made, it is double layered on the bodice and the skirt is fully lined, on the hanger it weighs soooo much, but on it feels divine, it is floaty and soft and makes you feel sexy yet classy, it is a little big for me from the bust down as I ordered based on my bust size but now I have felt the fabric on I would order based on my waist as the material has some give.

The sizing issue was easily fixed by adding a belt, which to be honest is my preferred look anyway to give my waist definition.

I teamed it with black tights and my gold matt shoes as i felt it complemented the colour of the dress, but black or a similar colour to the dress would also look gorgeous, when the dress arrived it was wrapped in beautiful purple tissue paper which looked amazing next to the teal so may have to invest in a purple belt.

The dress sells on the Eliza Parker website for $189 and I would say the quality, weight stitching and fabric are all worth the cost, I have a couple of nice events to attend this year and this dress will easily see me through any of them.

Eliza parker makes so many beautiful styles, if you have weddings or events to attend this year and want to get something that is less likely to be seen on other people at the same event, which are beautifully made and will last you through many seasons, make sure you take a look.

Hope you have all had a fabulous night and that 2012 is prosperous and fun for you.

And thank you so much to the wonderful people at Elia parker who organised the dress for me and had it delivered before new year, I will be wearing it tomorrow for dinner hopefully but it depends if I can bring myself to risk getting something on it.
