Fashion World - Wear Two Ways Boots

I was recently approached by the lovely Jayne to see if I would like to take part in the Wear two ways boots challenge, I jumped at the chance as I love a good pair of boots!

I asked for the boots to be sent to me in a size 6 curvy calf fitting and when they arrived I loved the fit, they feel lovely and soft, and fitted my legs nicely.

This will give you an idea what the boots look like, the buckle and strap come undone on the ankle boot, and they fit through two holes in the leg section (you can see on in the above image).

The nice warm tan colour is gorgeous, it goes with lots of items in my wardrobe so they will get lots of wear in both ways.

I am tempted to get myself the boots in black as well as then I have 4 pairs of versatile boots for the winter months.

I was also sent a gorgeous pair of jeans to wear with them, I opted to try the Chloe Super Stretch Skinny Jeans in Dark Teal I asked for them to be sent in a size 22, and it was in hindsight a mistake as they were perfect when I tried them on but very quickly became baggy, so I really wish I had asked for a 20 now. I will have to get a pair in the right size as the colour is just divine!

Here are the boots in the knee high way to wear.

The boots have a stretch panel in the back to give more room, and still look good!

I wore the boots with my beautiful bird print shirt, I cant wait for the weather to get a bit colder so I can get these on more often.

I did take some photos of me in the ankle boots with a dress on as well but they didnt come out, so I have included the picture of me in the above outfit showing the ankle boots and will add a dress picture as soon as I am able to re take the pictures.

The boots are a great width on the ankles for me, I often find ankle boots awkward as the zip rubs, but these gave me plenty of space.

These boots are not real leather but they feel lovely, and I think they may last well, I will find out as they are likely to be on my feet for most of the summer.

The lovely Fashion World are going to be featuring my post and the other bloggers taking part on their Facebook page so keep an eye out HERE for them.

Fatshion Faceoff - Knee high Boots

Good evening to my fabulous readers,

This weeks Fatshion Faceoff is Knee Boots, I LOVE knee boots, I live in the for around 6 months of the year solid and buy a new pair every winter, usually I go for a good quality leather pair, my favourites are from next, but this year I fell madly in love with a pair from rocket dog, I knew that because they are not leather they wouldn't last me as long as my Next ones, but I have been looking for the perfect pair of lace up boots since forever!

When I saw these go into the sale just before christmas I asked my mum and dad if the could get me them as my pressie and they said yes! I was like a little kid.

Now my leather boots last me years and I only buy a new pair every winter as shoes are a bit of an obsession of mine, but these are not going to last more than one season but for £40 I am fine with that I will be buying another pair this year if they are still available asI love them that much!

Check out the other Fatshion Faceoff  ladies looking sexy in their boots.

Fatshion Faceoff

This weeks Fatshion Faceoff is one of my favourite things a top/ dress with animals on it, I have a few items that fit the bill, but I love this dress so had to show it.

Sorry for the picture quality, I left my camera on again and it has no charge, so had to resort to the iPhone which to be honest is a bit naff in low light.

My dress is from the ASOS Curve range, after seeing the gorgeous Rosie in it, I know I needed it in my wardrobe!

it is a gorgeous little dress, but I have to say the jersey is a little thin and has faded very quickly, but I love it so much I still wear it.

You also get my fabulous christmas hat as it was freezing outside, it is a hat and scarf and it has pockets what more could I want.

Animals really to make me happy, I need more animals on my clothes :)

Head on over and check out the other gorgeous ladies in there fabulous outfits.

Simply Be Review 2

Zandra Rhodes Vintage Print Dress.

This is the second item sent to me by Simply Be for review, I chose this dress, as I fell instantly in love with the colour! Anything green or purple and I am hooked!

On the model the sleeves hit her half way between wrist and elbow, but on me the hit me on my wrist which I wasn't keen on, but as I always have a cardigan on even in summer, this isn't a problem for me, just be aware of it, if you are short like me.

Cardigan - Marks and Spencer (very old)
Tights - 100Denier Tesco
Boots - Wide Fit Next
I chose to wear it for a day out christmas shopping and having some lunch with my other half, so I wore my old Marks and Spencer wrap cardigan, my Evans belt, thick tights and my biker boots.

The dress comes with a separate green slip as the material is very sheer and it has adjustable straps, my husband laughed at how excited this made me, but I have very short shoulders and straps on dresses always need to be tied or shortened.

The pattern looks very red in the pictures but it is very dark almost purple/red, I originally wore it with dark plum coloured tights from Evans but as they fell apart in less than 2 hours I went back to my trusty  Tesco 100 Denier Tights!

I felt really pretty and relaxed all day in the dress I also tried it with my black polo neck jumper under and it looked good with it too, so has lots of options for both winter and summer wear.
I also love that It can easily be dressed up with some heels for a night out.

As my only negative with this dress was the length and looseness of the sleeves at the wrist, which I can easily fix with a bit of creativity I would recommend this dress as the colour is so so pretty!

You will get to see me all dressed up next week with make up and nice hair for my wedding anniversary, and my final review piece for Simply Be.

Disclaimer : This item was given to me free of charge from Simply be for review, but all comments are my own and I have not been asked or paid to give any items a favourable review.

OOTD

WOW 2 days in a row with new outfit posts!

Today I was down to the dregs of my wardrobe as I ran out of washing powder a couple of days ago but was too unwell to go get more.

So today I am wearing a dress as a skirt, it is a Tesco summer dress, it has 2 layers so is quite warm, a plain black Dorothy Perkins basic Tee and my Next jacket which came as a set from the current catalog, all this with my super comfy Next wide fit boots!

Weirdly the skirt looks pink in the picture but it is more orange, I think my husbands camera phone got a bit excited!

Jacket - Next £32 (part of set)
Dress (as skirt) Tesco £7 in sale No longer available
Tee - Dorothy Perkins £4 last year
Boots - Next Wide Fit £85

Next Wide Fit Boots Review

Knee High Boots!

Every year I live in a pair of knee high boots for the winter, finding a pair that fit can be a bloody nightmare, but I fight every year and I think I have found a winner ready for the winter ahead.

I ordered these boots from the next directory yesterday and they arrived today, that is pretty fab really.

They are very comfortable and fit my legs nicely I have them on with tights and knee high socks, and tried them on over leggings this morning, I don't think I would be able to get them over jeans unless they are a very thin material.

I ordered these in a wide fitting next also have a few styles in extra wide fit, but for me they are too wide in the foot and ankle, I have big calves but fairly thin feet.

The leather feels supple and soft and the details are gorgeous I love the studded straps round the ankle.
The boots are designed to be pulled on but have a small half zip on the inner ankle to help with getting them on over your foot, I could wear these with so much and cant wait to get out and about in them, you may get bored of seeing them as I honestly will live in them.

If you take a look at the next website, the only thing to be careful of is the wide fit section has some standard fit boots on the same page, make sure when you are ordering that the size is shown with a W next to it in the drop down menu.

all in all I am very pleased with these boots and will buy more in the future, well done next,  please bring us some more styles or bring out more of your standard fits in a wide fit, I needed wide fit even when I was a size 12, I have always had wide calves.

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend

I purchased these boots myself, and have not been asked to write this review, all opinions are my own. xx
