Lust List!

I am on a spending ban, not through choice but because there are some big changes afoot in the Lilybobomb household and we need to be extra careful with our money this month. This means that I am obsessively scouring the online shops for all the things I want but can't buy! I like to punish myself.

Yours clothing has quite a few bits I am lusting after this week

I know kimonos are everywhere and they do seem to be having a marmite moment amongst fashion bloggers but I love them, I like how light they are and they do look great with so many things. The colours of this one from yours are beautiful!

I can't believe how much my feelings towards trousers are changing, and I love the simplicity of these cuffed harem trousers, I think these would be amazing throughout summer and great for transitioning into the autumn months.

Dorothy Perkins is on my radar too again, it has been a while since I really loved anything, but there are always a few pieces I love.

I need more skirts in my life, I have become quite safe over the last few years and stuck with dresses, which while gorgeous become a bit boring after a while I am craving some separates! This gingham skirt is great,  I would love a gingham circle skirt but this is more practical for every day wear.

Junarose is a little obsession of mine at the moment, and I will one ay soon be adding some of their gorgeous items to my wardrobe!

I love the simplicity of this jumpsuit it looks easy to wear and it looks like it would sit in the right position on my waist! LOVE!

Evans and Scarlett and Jo are killing my will power this week!
First the made me obsess over the stunning prom dresses and now they are making me even more obsessed with the prom skirts! I love that they would look just as gorgeous in the day as in the evening for a night out. Perfection!

Simply be are always a go to brand for me and I have been loving their spring summer offerings.

I have been on the look out for a simple jersey maxi for a while one I can fling on with canvas shoes and head out shopping without a huge amount of gaffing around. This one fits the bill perfectly!

Have you got your eye on anything at the moment, share you finds in the comments if you fancy it, I love to window shop.

Fatshion Faceoff - Lane Bryant

Hello to my lovely Fatshion Faceoff readers.

We have a special one off post for you this week, the lovely people at Lane Bryant recently sent each of us a beautiful dress for each of us wear our way.

Lane Bryant is a very well known US based plus size clothing brand, the focus on fashion and the fit of there clothing and I love so much of what they carry.

The dress which we received was the Plus Size Skater Sweater Dress.

The dress is made in a gorgeous soft knit, which feels beautiful on. I can be a bit fussy about knitted items as I can only touch some types of wool without totally freaking out.

I asked for the dress in size 18/20 and it is pretty generous so think I could have gotten away with a size down, but it doesn't hang badly or look too over sized so I am happy either way.

Being a simple monochrome colour way, I can see me popping this on over the winter with a coloured blazer, I  have worn it quite casually today with my knee high boots and leggings but I think it could look just as nice with tights, heels and a blazer for a dinner date with Marc.

So here are my pictures, for some reason they came out with a slight pink tint and it was rather wet and chilly at the time so I may not look my best.
I feel very relaxed and comfortable in this dress, it will become one of my winter wardrobe staples I think.

It has a very lovely exposed gold zip at the back which helps to stop the dress from being too casual.

You can see in the photo that my hair has changed again it is now black on top and green/blue under, this was to make the upkeep more manageable as my natural hair colour is so dark.

Head on over to Lane Bryant and take a look around they have so many fabulous items, there shoe collections are amazing and they offer shipping internationally.

The other gorgeous FF ladies have their posts live now too so head on over and check them out!

Simply Be - Rocking my Summer!

Simply be have been one of my favourite retailers of plus size fashion for a couple of years now, and there summer collections have been no exception.

I wanted to show off some of the amazing dresses that were sent to me a while ago, unfortunately, life happened and my blog had to take a bit of a back seat for a little while to allow me time to get it all sorted

The stripe dress is in the sale now and available in a few sizes.

I adore both of these dresses they are basically the same dress but different patterns, they look very similar to the floral dress from last winter but I found the material not as forgiving as the floral one from last year, my boobs a squashed tightly into these dresses.

But I love them too much to care!

How amazing is this pattern!!!!

I also have a few AW13 bits to show you so keep an eye on the blog.

The Fat Fabulous Four

Tonight is the launch of another fabulous challenge collaboration between myself and three other amazing plus bloggers.

Becky of The Ramblings of Mrs BeBe, Toni of The only way is Toni, Rosie of A rose like this and myself will be bringing you a new post every two weeks on a saturday with our own takes on some of the seasons top trends, starting this week with lace.

Lace is often associated with going out and dressing up, but I wanted my take to be more casual this time so when I spotted this lovely jumper in Tesco I snapped it up, it is only £12 and is so comfy and lovely, I am looking forward to getting some nice jersey trousers and having a gorgeous relaxed outfit for the spring.

Lace panel Jumper - Tesco £12
Jeans - Old pair from Dorothy Perkins
Boots - Next old Season

I love the lace panels on the sleeves and it is lovely and soft, I have just realised it is quite see through though so maybe a vest under would be a good plan.

Go and visit the other gorgeous girls, I know they will look gorgeous!

How to Wear: Spring trends - Bold Stripes

Recently, the lovely Fleur from Most Wanted, which is the lifestyle magazine for Vouchercodes.co.uk, she asked me if I would like to take part in a challenge, I was given £80 to spend on items that would allow me to interpret a plus size version of the spring trend Bold Stripes.

I love a good challenge so decided to go for it, I started me search by looking at lots of google images from the recent LFW and there were plenty of stripes on offer in the street photography area, so with these images in mind I set off on a journey to find some bold strips for plus sizes.

My biggest problem was that everything was pretty much black and white stripes and I really fancied some colour, After an epic search I finally found what I was looking for and ended up with some bold colours and some navy and white.

In total I spent £79.75 including posting for 2 items.

Below are the outfits I created.

I wanted something that was really bright and bold, but that was casual and comfortable for everyday activities, I loved the colours of this Forever 21+ jumper and I ordered one size up so it fitted loosely and a little longer.
£18.75

For My second outfit I wanted something a little smarter that could be dressed Up or down, I teamed it with my White Asda Moda top and knitted waistcoat, for a relaxes look for lunch in town, the jeans are navy, and I think they would look amazing with a gorgeous navy or white peplum top or tunic, I cant wait to dress them up.
Cotton Rich Striped Denim Jeggings - Marks And Spencer £20

I also manager to get a couple of accessories to show that bold stripes do not have to necessarily be shown in your clothing but you can introduce trends to your wardrobe simply and easily without them being too daunting.
Navy/white stripe satchel - Dorothy Perkins
£28
Navy stripe sarong - Dorothy Perkins
£12

You can even go for bright stripes in your accessories to push your comfort zones out a little this bag from river island really caught my eye.

Some of the other spring trends I really have my eye on are Monochrome and Sheer as I love both.

How would you interpret the spring trends? Will stripe be a part of your wardrobe?

Fatshion Faceoff - Floral Skirt

Floral Skirt

So this weeks Fatshion Faceoff was chosen by me and thinking about what I have in my wardrobe but avoid wearing because I find it hard to pair and my my floral skirt came to mind.

I love dresses as they are easy to style without to much effort, but I find separates difficult to wear, but I am always up for a challenge and love seeing what the other fabulous ladies come up with.

So this skirt is quite a few years old but is worn so little that it is still in good condition, and really needs to be worn, it is my favourite colour, and it seems I have a thing for floral stripes.

As the skirt has vertical stripes running down it, I decided to try it with my new Striped top from Tesco's which is also striped, but it is blue and white so though hell i will give it a go.

so this is how it all looked, this beautiful sunshine gave me the chance to pop on my wedges and get some sunshine to my tootsies.

hahaha, I managed to close my eyes in both photos, but my teeth are still so sore, I didn't have the energy to go try again, so sorry. xx

Go check out the other fabulous ladies in the group they always look amazing!

So do you like florals or do you steer clear?
