New Disappointments!

Yesterday I decided to take a trip to my local large New Look store, I have 3 quite close to were I live, 2 in city centres one in harlow and one in stevenage which have a tiny section for the inspire ranges, the last one is in a retail park and is huge, so thought I might have a chance to see some of the pretty dresses on offer from Newlook inspire at the moment.
When we arrived we wondered round the store 3 times but not one item of clothing from the inspire range was in store.

I am tired of seeing there larger stores packed out with so many basic staples in the straight sizes that they end up being repeated 3 times over and then the inspire range is wither a single rectangular rail or a tiny dingy corner, the Large Brookfield Farm not even having that really annoyed me, this is a huge store with loads of space!

the only conclusion I can draw so far is that Newlook do not want my money and are ashamed of us fatties being in there stores!

I tweeted about this just this morning, and Newlook came back to me to say they would pass the message on, but I am not sure if they will actually look into it or not, or bring an inspire range in store, but my frustrations needed to be aired!

  1. They do the same for tall girls too I tried to hunt down the tall rail last week and it was at the back corner of a store behind the inspire range. I sometimes think they can't be arsed

  3. I don't understand why they are not stocking Inspire in your local stores - esp. a big store, that makes no sense. I wouldn't hold your breath for a response, they are notoriously bad at responding on twitter. i remember I pulled them up on having no Inpsire dresses on a dress sale offer they were doing for Valentines. They promised to add the discount the next day and never did - despite tweets and myself and others checking throughout the day. It kind of gets my goat as I am a huge fan of MOST (not all) of the range but they need to start treating their target audiance better. xXx

  4. I find the way it gets shoved from pillar to post in my branch of New Look the worst thing....it was upstairs in a great spot and lots of floor space, and its now back down in the basement, shoved into the corner, next to Maternity and other specialist ranges. I really do feel like there's been some sort of secret government dossier drawn up somewhere that says in a recession, the fat people shouldnt get clothes on the high street, and if you make them go online shopping, maybe that will shame them into not being fat!

    1. Honestly I find that most people in the fashion industry seem to think plus size clothing is a dirty little secret and must be hidden away or only online so we don't go in store at all, makes me so frustrated!

  5. We have a New Look in our town centre, it had an Inspire range up until about 2 years ago and they took it out, god only knows why because they were the only shop in our town other than Evans to cater for plus sizes. The closest New Look that does have the Inspire range is 17 miles away, at an out of town retail park not on a bus route!

My only conclusion is that New Look don't want our money, so they don't get any of mine!

    2. My branch doesn't have the Inspire range in stores neither. So if they don't want my money offline, they won't want my money online either. Not buying from them anywhere.

  8. Sad to hear, my local New Look is a pretty decent size and there's Inspire on the second floor, but not much of it :( Probably about a selection of 10 different products from the range and that's it. And they're always the most frumpy ones :(

    1. I went to Stevenage yesterday and they still have a fairly good inspire range in store, I say good, but actually it is mostly crap, and has nothing new in it, but it is still there, I just wonder for how long :(

  9. I so know that feeling! I find it hard enough to find something nice to wear without them closing down half the stores! I really like yours and luckily one in harlow so easy to get to! xx
