Outfit Ideas

Simply Be Belted Jersey Dress.

Being on a tight budget means I have to think long and hard about purchasing a new item for my wardrobe, I have to consider, will it work with what I already have, is it versatile enough to have multiple uses, and travel across seasons.

This Jersey Belted dress from simply be fits my list perfectly, I find florals like this can be used year round as it isn't so ditzy a print as to be considered too trendy, i love prints like this and wear them year round to brighten my days.

here are how I  see it working for me and my wardrobe.

I love the details the belt and peter pan collar are great.

Do you, regardless of personal budget, take these things into consideration when you buy a new item for your collection?

  1. Love that dress! Still gutted that Simply Be doesn`t deliver to Japan. They always have such cute things but I can never buy. *sobsob*

I do always consider my whole wardrobe when I buy something new. Something I can wear anytime, that goes with most of the stuff I already have in my closet. I might buy a lot but there`s always a plan. ^^ Sometimes want to shake it up a bit and get something totally different tho..but even then I try to match it with something I already have. ^^d

    1. see until I started to blog, I never had a plan, it was always just buying more and more crap I didn't need and adding it to the wardrobe, but now, I find myself planning every detail. x

  2. I'm more likely to think about my wearing to work... And then thinking about whether it would last in my wardrobe or not.

I test most of my clothes at work, given the amount of dress down days we have! If that works, then I know I will get continued wear out of an item.

I don't usually follow trends all that much, but I'm lucky that tea dresses are in this year, and I'm tempted to get as many as I can now, before they all go!!

    1. When I am am working, I try to keep some items of clothing as non work clothing even if they are suitable, i found myself becoming bored of the same old outfits, and wanted to wear something different that wasnt associated with work, but my budget is so much tighter these days that it is more about ways of wearing. x

  5. Love how you've dressed it up and down...I saw it on the website earlier today, and didnt think much of it, unlike the rest of the key 12 items, but you've made me think again! But yeah, I have to try and think 'do I really need this?'

  6. Belted dresses are great for defining waistlines. I like them because they create the illusion of curves.
