Press Day Fashion World/ Marisota

SCPR invited me along to their press day a little while ago to take a look at the up coming AW13 items from Marisota, Fashion World, and Bonmarche

The Range I had really been looking forward to taking a look at, was the up coming capsule range from  Claire Richards for Fashion World.

This coat from the Claire Richards range really has caught my eye and I think I will be snapping it up as my new winter coat when the time comes!

I love the little leather details

The little military buttons are very cute too!

This dress from the range is also a must have for me too I love bird print and this is right up my alley! plus it is navy and I love it!

This body con little black dress is absolutely gorgeous, I imagine the slightly ruffled material will be fabulously forgiving.

This sweetheart and mesh top was really cute, it came with a velvet like pencil skirt and will look gorgeous for night out!as would the Sequin dress you can see beside it.

Again I really liked this dress, but I am not so sure about the sleeves, I think it could be a good work to bar dress for the winter.

Next we had a look at what Marisota had to offer for AW13

The fabulous Hanna, sorry this isn't the best picture, my flash decided to go off!
This coat will find its way into my wardrobe, it is awesome!! It felt gorgeous and soft and the leather look panels were very soft. I t will also be available in black.

I love tops I can slip on with leggings or a pair of peg trousers and feel comfortable yet sexy, this will be great for me.

I like the collar tips on this shirt.

The were also included with this check shirt.

Bonmarche had a few nice pieces, I have never tried them myself before, but the range available online is much better than in store.

These two dresses were my favourites and I may try something from the range soon to see how I get on with the brand.

The gorgeous Curvy Wordy with the fabulous spotty dress we both loved!

I had such a fabulous day with Hanna and Caroline even with the torrential rain we were stuck in earlier in the day.

Simply Be Review - Clothing the Generations

Whilst speaking with Simply Be about there upcoming campaigns the very kindly offered to send myself and my mum something to review each, as part of my posts on plus size retailers who cater to multiple generations of women and do it well.

Simply Be for me are one of the best retailers currently out there who do this well, as I discussed in the previous post HERE, most shops are aimed at a particular customer but with plus size retailers we do not often have the luxury of choice and have to find what we can, and although things are getting better it can still sometimes be a frustration.

But I find simply be offer such a wide variety of options that there really is something for everyone, young old, conservative, wild, funky, you name it you can probably find something and this is a breath of fresh air for most of us.

we decided to order a jacket/ coat each that suited our personalities and styles.

First up my mum, she went for a coat and took it on its first outing to the wedding we attended last week, below is her choice.

The colour is stunning, my mum always looks lovely in strong colours! she loved the little PU strips between the blue and black too, when it arrived she fell in love with it.

Mums model pose :)

She has asked me to tell you that this coat is the snuggliest and most lovely coat, she loves it, it feels amazing and it being machine washable is a huge bonus.
It gets a huge mum thumbs up!

My choice was a jacket, I have been wanting something dressy that I can wear with jeans or dresses on a night out, as soon as I saw the Changes by Together Tailored Jacket I knew I was in love!

I love the sequin embroidery and the classic style of the jacket, it looks gorgeous with jeans and as you can see equally lovely with my dress at the wedding last week.
I am going to find a tailor to take it in a t the side just a little for me as to fit my bust I get left with a bit of space at the waist but it isn't enough to make a huge difference, just for my comfort!

The detail on the jacket is just beautiful, its is totally gorgeous, and while the £99.50 price is quite high the beauty of this jacket means I would pay it and it has so many uses I fell it is worth it.

Simply be have some amazing options at the moment and me and mum can each find so many items that we love.

Thank you to the wonderful Jessica and team.

Go take a look HERE for yourself!

Dangerous FX

On Saturday Night I was at the Hammersmith Apollo seeing Evanescence, it was an amazing concert as always, it was the 3rd time I have been to see them and would go again.

I ended up in my usual jeans and a top as I was feeling anxious and stressed so couldn't decide what to wear.

Whilst I was there I saw so many gorgeous girls both plus sizes and not in the most gorgeous Gothic and pinup clothing, and decided it was high time I got off my arse and started wearing some of the clothes I love and not worrying about it so much.

This led to me searching the net for fab plus size suppliers and brought me to Dangerous FX, they do a fantastic range of clothing from a size 8 to a size 30 in various ranges some don't go that high, but there is a excellent range to choose from.

Below are some of my favourite styles, I plan on ordering something very soon so I can let you know what the service and quality is like.

My Simply Be love affair is growing strong!

Simply Be.

My love affair with Simply Be has been around for a while but I am finding myself drawn more and more to the site for a peruse and drool session.

At the moment, they are trying to kill me with so many lovely things and the temptation of visiting their new stores, but without a job at the moment, I cant really justify buying clothing, but this hasn't stopped me looking and believe me, as soon as I get a job, my wardrobe will again be groaning under the weight of all the gorgeous clothing I will be getting from Simply Be.

These are some of my current obsessions from the website!

I love all the detail on this dress above, from the sequins on the shoulders and the mesh panel down to the dipped hem at the back, it is so effortless and easy to wear for a night out.

This is simply Be's take on Miu Miu and I love it, such pretty detail on the print and a gorgeous shade of red could easily make the transition from day wear to night.

BIRD PRINT! My little obsession and I have been finding it really hard to find a print I like which will go to my size, I love that I could pop a long sleeved top under this and stay snug and warm over the winter months, but carry it into the spring without!

I saw this dress on a few people in the review photos from the Liverpool store opening and thought it looked simply divine, my obsession with butterflies goes back a long way I have 12 butterflies tattooed on myself and own many items with them on, this may have to be on my christmas list!

Coats! Coats! Coats!
As you know from my previous post Coat shopping is the Bane of my life, I literally have panic attacks at the thought of going to buy one, but I am also obsessed with owning them and have at least 7 at the moment, but this coat ticks all my boxes, I wish I knew what the quality of it was like as the price is more than I would usually spend, but I want it so badly!

I have been looking for the perfect pair of lace up boots for a very long time, and I think these are exactly what I am looking for! Not too dressy but could work in many situations, they are rather yummy!
These boots are my perfect work/going out boots, they are sexy and have the most exquisite detail, I think I might become slowly obsessed with these boots!

Simply Be thank you so much for making and continually improving the outlook for plus size fashion! as soon as I am working you will be swamped with my orders I am sure!

Coats!!!!

Coat shopping is my most dreaded time of year, I love coats, I have about 10 in various sizes and states, BUT... Every year I am reduced to tears, last year was in BHS the year before was in Debenhams, the reason for this is the utter frustration of the differences in sizing from shop to shop and even in the same shop.

I have boobs, so often even when I fall in love with a coat I cant do the bloody thing up, my husbands dreads my coat shopping trips and I honestly cant blame him,.

Below are a few I have fallen for online some I will never be able to wear, but a girl has to have a dream right?

The Dorothy Perkins red duffle coat is such a pretty colour and I love the patent buckles, this should go around my boobs!

Next is the Camel piped duffle coat from Evans/ Style 369 it is very lovely but camel can make me look a bit washed out so would have to try it.

The Simply Be Double breasted duffle coat is divine, but due to my boobs I doubt I could wear it, this makes me a sad bunny :(

I love the ASOS coat, it just looks so cozy and warm, but I cant decide if it is worth the £95 price tag!

Anna Scholz, omg I love this cape, never liked them until I saw this on the gorgeous Boombands Em in her Anna Scholz review, and she looked stunning in it!

What shapes do you find best and where do you shop for the perfect coat.

Please feel free to leave a comment, I do love getting them :)
